The copyright laws treat producer of orginal work as exclusive owner of intellectual property. That owner has the right to treat the work through any mode and pattern or can authorise other/s to do so by agreement/ licensing of copyright. Without having permission from the concenrd authorties, no work is treated through any meduim in case of copyright.
The PDB web site contains abstracts, owned by publishers/authors and protected by copyright laws. The authors or publishers retain copyright to these works, which are only used by PDB with permission. All persons reproducing, redistributing, or making commercial use of this information are responsible for compliance with the terms and conditions asserted by the copyright holder. Transmission or reproduction of protected items beyond that allowed by fair use as defined in the copyright laws requires the written permission of the copyright owners.
We aim to bring our authors' work to the widest audience, under the protection of our copyright policy and complete transparency in our policies on copyright and authors' rights. Certain works, including documents, reports, and other materials authored by the Pakistani authors, reside in the public/private domain and may be freely distributed and copied. Contract terms and conditions vary from one agency to another. If the copyright status of a particular work is uncertain, it should be verified with the source agency, referred with abstracts.
The PDB web site includes links or pointers to other sites. Once another site is accessed through a link on the PDB web site, the copyright and licensing restrictions of the new site apply. PDB cannot authorize the use of copyrighted materials contained in linked Web sites.
The information posted on http://pdb.irp.edu.pk contains quality research resources and have rights to exclude any type of material which falls below the quality standard of PDB. PDB is a collection device which provides space to the researchers and not responsible to the contents and accuracy of material PDB assumes no liability of relating to the delay, failure, interception, interruption, or corruption of content thus transmitted.
PDB provides this web site as a non commercial service. We strive to make you aware of the kinds of information we collect and explain why we collect information, how we use it, and whether it will be shared with others. PDB does not collect personal information when you visit our web site.
When you visit the PDB Web site, the tracking system collects the following information: • IP address from which you access our web site • Internet domain for your Internet service • Type of Web browser that you are using • Certain browser settings including JavaScript, default language, and screen resolution • Date and time you visit to our site, and the Web pages that you visit on our site
PDB uses the information for statistical analysis and diagnostics, and to help us make our site more useful to visitors. The tracking system does not record information about individuals.
We request the individuals/institutions/organizations/associations to be the part of PDB development. The sponsors of PDB project are requested for Rs. 50,000 for a year. The payment could be made through four easy installments. We advertise the logo/link of sponsors on main interface of PDB for the sponsored period and acknowledge the organization as “Sponsor of PDB”.
The PDB Web site provides links to many external web sites. Once you navigate to the site, you are subjected to the privacy policy of the new site you are visiting. These other sites may use their own cookies, collect data, or solicit personal information. PDB tries to ensure such attempts to use links that point outside of the PDB web site and are clearly identified, by means of a pop-up notice.
PDB monitors network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to damage the Web site or to upload or change information on servers of PDB. In support of Web site security, our Web operating system collects information that could help identify a possible threat. This is the only instance in which PDB collects information or monitors user activity without asking the permission, or giving prior notice to a PDB user.
